VRM cooling duct designed to lower your VRM temperatures and also benefit CPU cooling. The VRMs (voltage regulating modules) found on Ryzen boards and others provide power to the CPU. If the VRMs are not cooled well they can get heat flowing through the board and into the CPU socket and elsewhere. Keeping them cool with this duct can help stabilize an overclocked system that has random reboots. This exhaust case fan duct is designed to cause a rectangle of fast moving air to exist directly above your VRM row on the motherboard. In case front to back air flow this duct will force air to flow through, around, and over the VRMs as it exits. Significant VRM cooling of 10C+ is possible. If you orient the fans the other way, air will be blasting directly onto the VRMs causing even more cooling in excess of 15C+ achievable. Results will depend on your exhaust case fan specifications and particular VRMs and what CPU you are running. To purchase the right one first measure your case exhaust fan size. Then, measure from the end of the fan to the beginning of your CPU cooler/heatsink to determine how much clearance you have. Then, choose the tallest duct height that will still fit.
